Trim to level and pour with one movement on to the screen. No additional moment or spreading of sample should occur. 4. – With the slots in the screen fa cing towards the operator move the sieve 30cm forward 40 times and 30cm back 40 times. Each backwards and forward motion should take 1 second, so that the complete operation should take 40 seconds. 5 – At the completion of 40 backwards and 40 forwards mov ements measure the screenings from the collection tray with the small 25ml measure , which is 5% of the large 500ml measure.
